NANDA DEVI TREK ITINERARY

Situated in the Garhwal Himalaya, Nanda Devi is the highest (7818metres) and most sacred of all the peaks of the Indian Himalaya. The beauty of this region was long ignored by most except for well known explorers like Longstaff, Shipton and Tilman. Many of the paths they took are still relatively unused. This superb trek takes us across high passes with panoramic views of the peaks of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary and of the adjacent Panch Chuli group. You see lots of temples in this land of the Goddess Nanda Devi. We follow old paths still taken by shepherds and very well maintained, cross several passes linking the Ram and Gauri Ganga valleys from where we make a detour to the glorious Milam glacier. The paths are ancient trade routes connecting Tibet and India. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police still maintain an outpost in Milam. Few trekkers come here and most of the forest is National Reserve, so this region remains beautiful and unspoilt.

Day 04: Binsar – Lokarkhet drive and trek to Mikila
Day 05: Mikila – Gogina trek
Day 06: Gogina – Namik trek
Day 07: Namik - base of Sudam Khal trek
Day 08: Base Sudam Khal - Base of Kaguri Bhel trek
Day 09: Base of Kaguri Bhel – Poting trek
Day 10: Poting – Bugdiar trek
Day 11: Bugdiar – Martoli trek
Day 12: Martoli – Ganghar trek
Day 13: Ganghar – Pachu Valley trek
Day 14: Pachu valley – Base of Ralam Pass trek
Day 15: Base of Ralam Pass - Ralam village trek
Day 16: Ralam to Sarpudyar trek
Day 17: Sarpudyar to Paton trek
Day 18: Paton – Munsiyari trek
Day 19: Munsyari – Kathgodam drive for overnight train to Delhi
Day 20: Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel
Day 21: Departure Delhi
